Actress Urvashi Rautela has now turned to singing. Yes, you read that right. The actress, who is known for her sizzling item numbers and seductive onscreen avatar has now taken to playback singing by collaborating with the Dubai based singer Ajay Keswani. The duo have sung and featured in the remixed version of the iconic Kishore Kumar-Madhubala song ‘Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhaagi Si’ from the film ‘Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi.’ The song has been shot entirely in Dubai and will be releasing soon across all digital platforms.
“It’s like a dream come true,” says Urvashi, who has been in Dubai since the New Year’s Eve when she even performed at a five star hotel. The recreation of the legendary number has Urvashi lending her vocals alongside Kishore Kumar’s original voice. Elaborating on her experience of shooting for the song, Urvashi says it was a challenging project, which required her to shoot across the arid desserts of Dubai, but the experience was ‘extremely rewarding.’ Her contemporaries like Shraddha Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra and Alia Bhatt, who tried their hand at singing have also been subject to considerable criticism in the past. But Urvashi says the opportunity to slip into the shoes of the legendary Madhubala and sharing her vocals with Kishore Kumar, overrode every apprehension she had about taking the plunge.

Despite the raging coronavirus pandemic and stringent lockdowns throughout the year 2020, Urvashi believes she had a very blessed year. “I had back-to-back releases and it was during this time that I was even offered projects that I always wanted to do,” she explains.
Elaborating on her massive Instagram following of 33.5 million, Urvashi says she feels responsible because most of her fanbase comprises of youngsters aged between 17 and 24. “I cannot promote anything that is not good for them,” she says adding that she always puts up content that is positive and motivating.
Urvashi’s upcoming film is a bilingual called ‘Black Rose’, which is based on Shakespeare’s ‘The Merchant of Venice’ and the Hindi remake of the Tamil film ‘Thiruttu Payale 2.’ The actress will be also seen in an international project opposite Egyptian actor Mohamed Ramadan and of course, this new video which is directed by Varun Prabhu Dayal Gupta has music composed by Vicky-Hardik.
